Description	:	Sylvia Jane Howell Mabry, 72, of Albemarle, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Mabry was born May 7, 1949 in Stanly County to the late Claude Daniel Howell and Sadie Barbee Howell. Sylvia was an avid gardener, a seamstress, and a member at Canton Baptist Church. Spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys in life. She would do anything for her family and enjoyed cooking meals for them. In 1967, she married the love of her life. They spent the last 54 years doing... Read More	Sylvia Jane Howell Mabry, 72, of Albemarle, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Mabry was born May 7, 1949 in Stanly County to the late Claude Daniel Howell and Sadie Barbee Howell. Sylvia was an avid gardener, a seamstress, and a member at Canton Baptist Church. Spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys in life. She would do anything for her family and enjoyed cooking meals for them. In 1967, she married the love of her life. They spent the last 54 years doing everything together. Her legacy will continue through her journaling and recipes that she has passed down to her family. She will be remembered by her favorite title, known as MaMaw. Sylvia is survived by her husband; a son; a daughter; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friends and caregivers: Polly, Kelly and Alicia. She is preceded in death by her brother Everett Edwards, Jr. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie for the special care they gave Mrs. Mabry. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle. Her funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Canton Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mark Mabry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie at 960 N. 1ST Street
