Description	:	Sylvia Madonna “Tibby” Bosse, 97, of Jefferson, SD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Prairie Estates Rehab. and Care Center in Elk Point, SD Sylvia was born on May 31, 1919 near Jefferson, the daughter of Isaac and Gertrude (Crevier) Chicoine. Sylvia was 22 months old when her father died from a hunting accident. Gertrude married Charles LaFleur on October 23, 1928, and to this union, they raised six children. Sylvia was 22 months old when her father died from a hunting accident. Gertrude married Charles LaFleur on October 23, 1928, and to this union, they raised six children. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1937. Sylvia and Douglas Bosse were married on May 28, 1941 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Jefferson. They made their home on the Bosse family farm near Jefferson, raising four children. Douglas passed away on March 19, 2012. She was an excellent homemaker – she enjoyed baking, sewing, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a life-long member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was strong in her Catholic faith and could always be found with a rosary in her pocket. Survivors are her four children, Dean (Pat) Bosse of Elk Point, Glenn (Connie) Bosse of Jefferson, Janice Albright (Special Friend, Craig Byrne) of North Sioux City, and Dale (Annette) Bosse of Westfield, IA; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Bosse; her parents, Isaac and Gertrude Chicoine; her step-father, Charles LaFleur; her sisters, Viola LaCroix, Pauline Allard; her step-brothers, Lloyd LaFleur and Don LaFleur; her step-sister, Madalynn Corrington; and son-in-law, Steve Albright.
