Description	:	Funeral services were held for Sylvia Redenius who , having suffered a stroke on Sep. 4, was hospitalized and then moved to the Sioux Valley Foundation Hospice Cottage where she died Sunday evening, Sep. 17, 2000. She attained the age of 88 years, 10 months and 25 days. Sylvia Muller Redenius was born on a farm southwest of Lennox on Oct. 23, 1911, the daughter of Henry and Arndena (VanHove) Muller. She attended rural school and graduated from Lennox High School in 1929. She went on to college, graduating in 1933 from the Sioux Valley School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at the Bennett-Clarkston Hospital in Rapid City for 22 years until retiring in 1974. On Nov. 8, 1936 she was united in marriage to George F. Redenius at Davis, SD. Following their marriage they lived in the Davis and Parker areas. In 1938 they moved to Akron, IA and in 1942 to Rapid City, SD. In 1974 they retired to Lennox where she had since lived. Her husband died on Jan. 14, 1990. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Jacob, George, and Henry Muller; and three sisters: Ardes Johnson, Elsie Frailey, and Anna May. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter and son-in-law; Mary Kay and Dennis Ihnen of rural Hurley; three grandsons and their wives: Tod and Shelli Ihnen and their children, Ciera, Sarissa, Savanna and Stetson; Jay and Brenda Ihnen and their children, Lindsey and Nicholas; and Heath and Sharese Ihnen and their son, Quincey; plus several nieces, nephews and many friends.
