Description	:	T. L. Brown, age 92, of Stover, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Golden Age Living Center. He was born June 11, 1923, in Morgan County, a son of the late George W. and Alpha F. (Lingle) Brown. T.L. was a staff sergeant in the United States Army Air Force in World War II from 1943 to 1945, serving in Europe. He was awarded six Bronze Stars and a Good Conduct Medal. Brown, age 92, of Stover, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Golden Age Living Center. He was born June 11, 1923, in Morgan County, a son of the late George W. and Alpha F. (Lingle) Brown. T.L. was a staff sergeant in the United States Army Air Force in World War II from 1943 to 1945, serving in Europe. He was awarded six Bronze Stars and a Good Conduct Medal. For many years, he worked in construction in the state of California. While living there, he spent several years as a professional wrestler. After moving to Missouri, he was employed at FASCO, retiring after twenty years of service. T.L. was a member of the Blue Springs Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. He enjoyed visiting and eating with friends at the Versailles Nutrition Site. Some of his favorite hobbies included, attending flea markets, putting together puzzles and watching professional wrestling on television. T.L. is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Brown and husband David of Reykjavik, Iceland, Margaret Brown and husband Steve of Reykjavik, Iceland, Bernice Prier and husband Jerry of Springfield, Missouri and Bonnie Williams of Republic, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Reva Merriott and Emma Vogt and husband Corky all of Versailles; brothers, George Brown, Jr. of Stover, Ray Brown and wife Shirley of Versailles and Fred Brown and wife Linda of Harrison, Arkansas and several nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charley Brown and David Lee Brown, half-brother, Paul Lingle, brother-in-law, Gene Merriott and a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. Graveside services and interment with full military honors will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Golden Age Living Center in Stover. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
