Tandy's many friends and associates here will read the above announcement with tearful eyes and saddened hearts. Tandy W. Roush, son of Abram and Martha Roush, formerly of this county died at his parents home near Wilmington, Kan., Jan. 20th, 1891, aged 21 years. Tandy's many friends and associates here will read the above announcement with tearful eyes and saddened hearts. Friends and relatives who gathered at the Russell depot last August to say good-bye to Tandy felt that it was the last hand-clasp here with him. He had been here many weeks among old associations and was under the best of medical treatment, everything that loving parents and kind friends could do was done. On the morning of the 20th he was very cheerful and bright. But in a moment's time all was changed and Tandy was dying. He was taken with hemorrhage of the lungs suddenly, and only lived ten minutes. He said, "Call the men," and then exclaimed, "Oh, I am going to die," and then sank into that sleep that is dreamless and without pain. Tandy joined the Christian Church five years ago at Wilmington, Kan., under the ministration of Rev. William Grissom. Mr. and Mrs. Roush have lost four sons, Quinn died in Ohio, Freddie, Austin and Tandy in Kansas. Through the columns of THE GAZETTE we tender to Mr. and Mrs. Roush and their household our sympathy, and also that of the entire community, in this their late bereavement, and can only say, their sorrow is our sorrow.
