Description	:	Teckla C. Zieren was born at Grafton, Neb., January 12, 1884. She passed away at her home near Clearwater, Neb., August 31, 1953, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 19 days. December 6, 1907, she was married to William Schmitz at Grafton. For a few years they lived on a farm near Grafton. They moved to a farm north and east of Clearwater in 1914. Later they moved to their present farm home northwest of Clearwater. Mr. and Mrs. Schmitz became parents of seven children, six daughters and one son. She passed away at her home near Clearwater, Neb., August 31, 1953, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 19 days. December 6, 1907, she was married to William Schmitz at Grafton. For a few years they lived on a farm near Grafton. They moved to a farm north and east of Clearwater in 1914. Later they moved to their present farm home northwest of Clearwater. Mr. and Mrs. Schmitz became parents of seven children, six daughters and one son. In January, 1952, Mrs. Schmitz slipped on the ice and fell, breaking her hip. After a few months spent in a Norfolk hospital, she was taken to her home. She always enjoyed visiting with her friends although she was never able to return the visits. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, one son, Leo of Clearwater, six daughters, Anna and Mary Schmitz of Clearwater, Regina Schmitz of Beatrice, Mrs. Herman (Gertrude) Schmitz of Petersburg, Mrs. John (Monica) Tunink of Guthrie Center, Ia., and Mrs. John (Margaret) Koenig of Clearwater; Eleven grandchildren; seven sisters and two brothers also survive. Pallbearers were Robert McDaniels, John Thiele Jr., Arthur Ahlers, Joe Goscha, John Schultz and William Lyons. Funeral services were held at 9:30 Thursday morning, September 3, at St. Theresa's Church in Clearwater, with Father Hayes in charge. Interment was in St. Theresa's Cemetery north of town.
