Lived near Macon, Ragan and Upland for most of her early years; graduated from Upland High School, 1935. Married: Feb. 20, 1936, to Gustave H.R. Lieske in Upland She and husband farmed in the Macon area, 1936- 1946; moved to Kearney. Farmed southeast of Kearney until 1972; moved to Hayes Center and farmed until he died, Sept. 27, 1993 She remained on the farm until 2003; moved to St. John's Center in Kearney. Before she retired, she enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: sons, Gustave of Lincoln and Dallas of Hayes Center; also grandsons, Donald and his wife, Rhonda, and Charles and wife, Vicki, all of Lincoln; granddaughters, Carmela Menking and her husband, Scott, of Matsue, Japan, and Dana Buchbinder and husband, Marco, of Boston; and three great-grandsons. Was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Larry, and her parents.
