Description	:	Having been in declining health Tena died at her farm home Monday, Jun. 30, 1997. She attained the age of 92 years, seven months and five days. Tena (Trientje Krull) Iken was born on her parents farm northeast of Lennox in Lincoln County on Nov. 25, 1904, the daughter of George and Harmina (Jongeling) Krull. She completed grade school at Bedford School District #62. On Mar. 5, 1937 she was united in marriage to Neal Iken at the Reformed Church Parsonage. Tena (Trientje Krull) Iken was born on her parents farm northeast of Lennox in Lincoln County on Nov. 25, 1904, the daughter of George and Harmina (Jongeling) Krull. She completed grade school at Bedford School District #62. On Mar. 5, 1937 she was united in marriage to Neal Iken at the Reformed Church Parsonage. They farmed southeast of Tea until Valentine's day, 1941, when fire completely destroyed the home they were renting, just two weeks before they were to move on the farm they had purchased. They moved to their present farmed east of Lennox in March of 1941. Neal's death on Dec. 23, 1992, ended a marriage of over 55 years. She was the last surviving member of the George Krull family. She was preceded in death by her father on Sep. 28, 1953; her mother on Sep. 17, 1959; her sister: Bertha Schmidt on Jul. 25, 1985; her brothers: Harm Krull on Jan. 26, 1948, Herman Fredrick Krull on Jun. 23, 1926 and Ben Krull on Aug. 1, 1967. Grateful for having shared her life are her three children: Johanna Iken of Sioux Falls, George Iken and his wife, Suzanne, of Houston, TX and Martha Iken of Lennox; two grandchildren.
