(Langan) Nebel, was born March 24, 1929 at Cedar Rapids, NE. Teresa was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic School, Cedar Rapids, NE. through the 8th grade and graduated from Cedar Rapids (NE.) High School in 1947. On June 5, 1950, Teresa was united in marriage to Harold C. Heithoff at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, NE. They made their home in Cedar Rapids, NE. where Teresa filled her days as a housewife and homemaker, raising their 4 children. In July of 2012, she moved to Tiffany Square in Grand Island, NE. and then in October of 2012, to Crowell Memorial Home in Blair, NE. Teresa was a member of the Cedar Rapids (NE.) American Legion Auxiliary and St. Anthony's Altar Society. She served as a member of St. Anthony's Parish Council, as an EME, a choir member, and a religious education instructor. She thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and always looked forward to shopping trips and vacations with family and friends. Playing the piano by ear was a special talent Teresa thoroughly enjoyed throughout her life. She especially enjoyed playing songs from the Sound of Music and church hyms. She also enjoyed the challenge of being put on the spot to play a request from a family member or friend. Teresa is survived by: son, Fr. Jim Heithoff of Ainsworth, NE.; daughters, Joan (Edward) Novacek of Cedar Rapids, NE., Mary Alice Heithoff of Omaha, NE. and Sheila (Michael) Rohweder of Grand Island, NE; grandchildren, Mark, Megan and Keri Novacek and John and Kathryn Rohweder; sisters, Veronica Feigenbutz of Iowa, Dorothy Klein of Blair, NE., Helen Vana of Omaha, NE. and Florence Finken of Iowa; brothers, John Nebel of Iowa, Joe Nebel of Omaha, NE., Jim Nebel of Omaha, NE. and Jerry Nebel of Cedar Rapids, NE. and a host of relatives and friends. Teresa was preceded in death by parents; husband, Harold C. Heithoff and sister, Mary Emily Batenhorst. Interment was in The St. Anthony's Catholic Church Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, NE.
