Description	:	Teressa June Bartling, 89, of Denver, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Teressa was born on July 26, 1924, in Denver, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Bolte) Diekmann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Denver. She attended Denver High School, graduating in 1943. She attended nursing school at the Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Chicago and following graduation worked at the hospital also. Read More	Teressa June Bartling, 89, of Denver, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Teressa was born on July 26, 1924, in Denver, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Bolte) Diekmann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Denver. She attended Denver High School, graduating in 1943. She attended nursing school at the Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Chicago and following graduation worked at the hospital also. She later worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Upon returning to the Denver area, Teressa was united in marriage to Ralph H. Bartling on August 16, 1947 in Denver. She started working for Allen Hospital, and after 33 years, she retired in 1988. Teressa enjoyed traveling, water exercise, Yoga, Tia Chi, bike riding and reading. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's U.C.C. in Denver and the Denver American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Darrel (Jane) Bartling of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter, Vicki Stout of Rocklin, California; a daughter, Pamela (Larry) Steege of Readlyn, Iowa; a daughter, Judy (Ron) Weibel of Murray, Utah; a daughter, Treva (Terry) Tallman of Pottersville, Missouri; a son, Kevin Bartling of Palo Alto, California; a son, Bruce (Lisa) Bartling of Denver, Iowa; a son, Craig (Linette) Bartling of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter, Beth (Steve) Fagerlind of Waverly, Iowa; 25 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph in 1977, 5 sisters, Emelda, Charlotte, Laura, Darlys and Nyola, and a son-in-law, Curtis Stout. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul's U.C.C. in Denver with Pastor Craig Henderson officiating. Burial of her cremains will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Denver. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver.
