Description	:	Terry Allan Dirksen entered his eternal rest at his home in Clarinda on June 8th2019 at the age of 59. His deep faith allowed him to remain strong throughout his treatments and even at his weakest times fighting brain cancer, he was a strong role model for the rest of his family. His deep faith allowed him to remain strong throughout his treatments and even at his weakest times fighting brain cancer, he was a strong role model for the rest of his family. Terry was born to Les and Sylvia(Warnke) Dirksen on July 9th, 1959 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Terry and his younger brother Don were raised to the hard work ethic of the Nebraska farm life. A work ethic he was very proud of, and instilled in the rest of his family. He attended Johnson-Brock community schools before attending Northwest Missouri State University, majoring in Ag-Economics. At the University, he met and eventually married the love of his life Rebecca Anne Basch. Happily married for 37 years, they had 3 children: Mitchell Allan, Jessica Anne, and Tyler Andrew. Terry taught his kids many life-long values, but his dedication to his Faith far surpassed all other topics. Terry was a self-starter, and his business ventures thrived in each of the communities he lived in. He was very dedicated to providing his family a better life, and he worked very hard to do so. Terry had a love for golfing, fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors. He got the greatest joy in sharing his love for the outdoors with the ones he loved. Terry and Becky often found peace in long walks in the timber as his condition grew. His family will remember him as trophy hunter, fire maker, contagious sense of humor, and most importantly an unselfish and faithful man of God. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Dirksen; his sister-in-law Cheryl Dirksen; and his father-in-law, Bill Basch. He is survived by his father, Les Dirksen of Auburn, NE; his brother Don Dirksen of Kearney, MO and family; his wife, Becky Dirksen of Clarinda, Iowa; his son Mitchell Dirksen and his wife Shannon and their children Parker, Hunter, Charlotte of Blue Springs, MO; his daughter Jessica Bunda and her husband Cody and their children Carson, Blake, Paige of Pocahontas, IA; and his son Tyler Dirksen of Kansas City, MO. “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40
