Description	:	OTTUMWA-Terry L. Christy, 61, of 308 Chester Ave., died at 11:27 a.m. April 3, 2016 at home. He was born February 19, 1955 in Ottumwa to Rexell L. and Geraldine Curry Christy. He married Charlene Archer and they later divorced. He married Dianna Vose on May 21, 2005. Terry was a 1973 graduate of Ottumwa High School, and was a Seabee in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Hickory Grove Community Church, a proud member of the NRA, a member of Brushless racing League and had been a member of the Ottumwa Noon Lions. Terry held a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. Surviving are his wife, Dianna; two sons, Shane (Rebecca) Christy of Ottumwa and Aaron (Erin) Christy of Ft. Wayne, IN; three step-sons, Bryce Bachman, Josh Bachman and Chris Bachman all of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Heaven, Sebastian, Rebekah and Oliver; five step-grandchildren, Noah, Aubrey, McKenna, McKayla and Chandler; two sisters, Linda (Donald) Ancell of Des Moines and Nancy Woodard of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Arlene Christy. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Ancell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military services conducted by O.B. Nelson, Post #3 American Legion and Walter B. Schafer, Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
