Read More	Terry Pittman Childers November 28, 1944 - May 26, 2022 Terry Pittman Childers, 77, of 1378 Pleasant School Road, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Nancy Blalock Childers and son of Annette Ellis Childers of Gaffney and the late Robert Lee Childers. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Hamrick Industries, and a part-time mail courier for First Piedmont Federal Savings & Loan Association in Gaffney. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he formerly served as a Trustee and as Sunday School Secretary for 50 plus years. Terry loved his family, the mountains, golfing, flowers, bird watching, and was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a daughter, Ann Childers Whiteside (Phil) of Gaffney; two brothers, Kenneth Lee Childers (Brenda) and Johnny Eugene Childers, both of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Amanda Belue (Trevor) and Hannah Whiteside; three great-grandchildren, Bryson, Blake & Bailey Belue; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Temple Baptist Church, 1508 Cherokee Avenue, Gaffney, S.C. 29340. The family will be at the residence, 1378 Pleasant School Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29341.
