Description	:	HOWES, Thelma Alfreeda (nee Mullett) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thelma Alfreeda Howes, in her 85th year, peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario, on Monday February 11, 2013. Thelma is predeceased by her husband Fraser (2009). Loving mother of Tom (Debbie), Susan (Ward), Dan (Jill), Bill (Noreen), and Rob (Marian). Thelma is predeceased by her husband Fraser (2009). Loving mother of Tom (Debbie), Susan (Ward), Dan (Jill), Bill (Noreen), and Rob (Marian). Proud grandmother of Erica, Cameron, Pamela, Amanda, Reid, Jordan, Nicole, Erin, Rachel, Jane and Thomas. Predeceased by brother Carmen. Thelma had a rural upbringing in Crookston, Ontario prior to attending Peterborough Normal School where she met Fraser. They began their teacher careers in one room school houses then moved to Kingston where they taught together at Lundy's Lane Public School where many lasting friendships were made. Family was the centre of Thelma's life, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Thelma enjoyed many summers at Moira Lake with family. She also enjoyed spending time with the many friends she met through St. Luke's, the Masonic Lodge and Shrine as well as through curling and bridge. The family will receive friends at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, (1900 John Counter Boulevard), on Friday, February 15th 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service on Saturday, February 16th, at 1 pm, at ST. LUKE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, (236 Nelson Street, Kingston) with a reception to follow. Internment at Christ Church Cemetery in Tamworth. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. For those wishing, donations may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, in memory of Thelma.
