Funeral services will be held 11a.m. on Monday, December 27 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada with Pastor Myron D. Herzberg officiating. On February 22, 1948, Thelma married Rufus E. Erickson at the Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church. She was an administrative assistant at Sauer Danfoss in Ames before her retirement in 1987. Thelma was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and Ruth Circle. Thelma is survived by 2 sons, Steven (Deb) D. Erickson of Silvis, IL and Alan E. Erickson of Nevada; a daughter Janeen (Loren) M. Driscoll of Nevada; 6 grandchildren Becky Bell, Mike Winter, Chad and Vanessa Erickson, Mark and Andrea Johnson, Eric Driscoll and Nicole Driscoll; 4 great-grandchildren Morgan, Audrey, Carter, and Ethan. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rufus on August 6, 1996, an infant daughter Marilee Ann Erickson in 1954, and 5 brothers Darrell, Bernice, Don, Lester, and Norman Post. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Memorial Lutheran Church. A memorial fund has been established in Thelma's name. Chet Ryan Funeral Home
