Mrs. Wehr worked for Farm Bureau and Shafer Motors. For many years, she worked in the auto license division of the Henry County Treasurer's office. She was a 1929 graduate of New London High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a 50-year member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bethlehem Chapter No. 38. She was a past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine in Mount Pleasant, a 50-year member of Palestine Shrine No. 11 in Burlington and a member of the White Shrine in Washington. She also belonged to the Daughters of the Nile in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Chapter Original A of TTT and the Eastside Mother's Club. She was a 70-year member of the Ace-HI Bridge Club and belonged to a multitude of other bridge and card clubs. She also belonged to several square dance clubs. Survivors include one son; one daughter; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Weir & Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. An Order of Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Bethlehem Chapter No. 38 of the OES. The funeral for Mrs. Wehr will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Edward R. Peterson, senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Friends also are invited to share in a lunch prior to the funeral service, which will be served at noon in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church. - CJeanealogy
