Description	:	Thelma Gagnon Hall died peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home in Simsbury surrounded by her loving children. Thelma was born April 25, 1925 as the daughter of Telesphore and Delia (McDonough) Gagnon of Simsbury. As the third of five children, she was predeceased by her siblings, Cleo Jigger, Barbara Shaw, Buddy Gagnon and Joni Bahre. Thelma graduated from Simsbury High School in 1943. Read More	Thelma Gagnon Hall died peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home in Simsbury surrounded by her loving children. Thelma was born April 25, 1925 as the daughter of Telesphore and Delia (McDonough) Gagnon of Simsbury. As the third of five children, she was predeceased by her siblings, Cleo Jigger, Barbara Shaw, Buddy Gagnon and Joni Bahre. Thelma graduated from Simsbury High School in 1943. She then traveled, sight unseen, to Shenandoah College in Virginia where she completed a degree in 1945. Thelma married the love of her life and partner of 44 years, the late Joseph L. Hall III, on November 8, 1953. Thelma and Joe lived, worked and raised their seven children on the Joseph L. Hall Family Farm on Terry's Plain Road in Simsbury. Thelma was a fiercely proud and loving mother. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Madigan in 1995 and her son in-law, Terry Brewer in November, 2015. She is survived by her children.bThelma was a beloved "Nana" to her 18 grandchildren. She was also a proud "G.G." (great-grandmother) to her seven great grandchildren. A life-long resident of Simsbury, Thelma was honored with the Home Town Hero Award in 1990. During her 90 years of life, Thelma was unwavering in her optimism and cheerful attitude. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and community. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 28th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. At the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be performed Tuesday, December 29th at 10 a.m. at Saint Bernard's Church, 7 Maple Street in Tariffville, CT. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Chapter of the National Kidney Foundation , 1463 Highland Avenue, Cheshire 06410 or at www.kidney.org.
