Thelma is survived by her daughters, Corinne (Harvey) Wren of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Wanita (Dalton) Huber of Gillette, Wyoming; son, Bernie (Gayle) Martinson of Douglass, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Arnold Anderson of Fargo, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marlowe Martinson who passed in 1994, infant daughter, Marlene, sister, Alice Carlson, and brothers, Leonard and Henry Anderson. Thelma Kathrine Anderson was born April 2, 1917 in Willow City, North Dakota to George and Marianna (Johnson) Anderson. She attended and graduated high school in Willow City. Thelma married Marlowe Martinson on October 16, 1937 in Willow City. The couple raised their three children on the farm near Edmore, North Dakota where Thelma worked as a mother, home-maker, and farm wife. After the couple retired from farming, they moved to Hatton, North Dakota in 1972 where Thelma worked as a waitress and also as a dietary aid at the local nursing home. After Marlowe passed in 1994, she moved to Pierre, South Dakota in 1996 and eventually settled in New Ulm in 2007 where she spent the rest of her life. Thelma was most recently a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm. Memorials are preferred to Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm.
