Thelma was born in Cherokee County on October 22, 1923 to the late Broadus and Florence (Gibson) Martin. She is survived by a son, Wayne Powell of Anderson; two daughters, Linda Gamble of Spartanburg, Dianne Osteen of Pacolet; and a sister, Geraldine Kirby of Pacolet Mills. Thelma was blessed with eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
