Description	:	Thelma Endsley, 99, of Defiance, passed away from her earthly home to go to her heavenly home awaiting her on Saturday afternoon, March 3, 2012, at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center. She was born August 6, 1912, in Defiance, and was the daughter of Harry Morton Myers and Fleetie (Blanchard) Myers. In 1931, Thelma married Richard M. Endsley, and he preceded her in death in November 1997. She graduated from Defiance High School and Fort Wayne Business College. She was born August 6, 1912, in Defiance, and was the daughter of Harry Morton Myers and Fleetie (Blanchard) Myers. In 1931, Thelma married Richard M. Endsley, and he preceded her in death in November 1997. She graduated from Defiance High School and Fort Wayne Business College. Thelma served as bookkeeper for the family construction business operated by her husband, Richard, and their two sons. After her retirement in 1976, she and Richard spent many winters in Bradenton, Florida. Thelma was a life-long member and organist of the Ayersville United Methodist Church, and also served as either pianist or organist at numerous churches in the area, or while wintering in Florida. She is survived by a son, Larry, and his wife, Jean Endsley of Ashland, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Jan Kauffman of Defiance; five grandchildren, Chris and his wife, Jodette Endsley, of Atlanta, Ga., Peggy Endsley Holvik and husband, Bjorn, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Becky Mossoney and husband, Jim, of Defiance, Shelly Eureste of Laurel, Md., Jenni Franklin and husband, Michael, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sons, Maxwell, William (Bill); and a sister, Betty Schlarbaum. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 7, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Ayersville United Methodist Church with Pastor Clarence Dinnen officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery.
