She departed this life at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa on June 5, 1973 at the age of 73 years, one month and 24 days. In 1904 with her father and mother and three sisters and one brother she moved to South Dakota where her parents were on a claim and later in a store at Okaton, South Dakota. She departed this life at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa on June 5, 1973 at the age of 73 years, one month and 24 days. In 1904 with her father and mother and three sisters and one brother she moved to South Dakota where her parents were on a claim and later in a store at Okaton, South Dakota. In 1910 the family returned to Allerton, Iowa. Here Thelma continued her schooling until the family moved to Fort Dodge in 1920. At an early age Thelma joined the Methodist church. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Mason in 1926. They spent most of there married life in various parts of the west, where her husband was employed on railroads. In 1941, they returned to Des Moines, Iowa where they lived until Mr. Mason passed away in 1965. She leaves to mourn her passing three sisters; Wilma Winterode of South Gate California, Lucille Logerstorm of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Wanda Mace of Des Moines; two brothers, Leland Mace of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Dwight Mace of Lockport, Illinois, neices, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.
