Description	:	Thelma Thompson Linder Manly, 72, of 215 Browning Road, Cross Anchor, formerly of Enoree and a former resident of Union, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003. at 12:15 a.m. in B.J. Workman Hospital in Woodruff after a sudden illness. Mrs. Manly was born in Union on Nov. 3, 1931, a daughter of the late Charles S. and Lillie Nelson Thompson. Workman Hospital in Woodruff after a sudden illness. Mrs. Manly was born in Union on Nov. 3, 1931, a daughter of the late Charles S. and Lillie Nelson Thompson. She was a graduate of Union High School and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah L. Gorrell of Cross Anchor and Charlotte L. White of Union; four grandchildren, Heather L. Handley of Cross Anchor, Samantha Lawter and Tonya Lawter, both of Union and David A. Gorrell of Spartanburg; step-grandchildren, Lillie Handley, Meghan Alman, Lexi Davis, Trey Hollowinski, Nishia Moore and Blake Wofford-Young; her step-mother, Floree Thompson of Union and two sisters, Reba Sumner of Jonesville and Mildred Godfrey of Enoree. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Robby Capp, Sergio Gamma, Terry W. Wright, Phillip Wright, Tim Alexander and Randy Alexander. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9. The family will be at their respective homes. The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
