Description | : | RETIRED RAILROADER DIES THURSDAY, ILL FOR SEVERAL WEEKS Theodore Shafer, 79, retired sig- nal department foreman of the Pennsylvania railroad, died at his home, 512 Dizardle street, Thursday afternoon after several weeks illness. He was employed by the railroad for forty-four years previous to re- tirement at seventy years of age. Surviving are three sons, James of Los Angeles; Omer of Los An- geles. and Theodore Jr. of South Bend; a brother. Charles of Indianapolis; twelve grand children four great grand children, two nieces, Mrs. Rose Grubbs, who has been his housekeeper, and Mrs. John Williamson, this city; a neph- ew, Leonard, this city, and a sister in law.
