Description	:	LEAVENWORTH _ Ted H. Kuch, 92, an 87-year resident of the Leavenworth area, died Wednesday, May 20, 1992, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center. He was born June 28, 1899, to Christian Adam and Julia (Jasmin) Kuch at Odessa, where he lived at the family homestead until 1904 when the family moved to Peshastin. He was raised and attended schools at Peshastin and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1919. He was born June 28, 1899, to Christian Adam and Julia (Jasmin) Kuch at Odessa, where he lived at the family homestead until 1904 when the family moved to Peshastin. He was raised and attended schools at Peshastin and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1919. Mr. Kuch later attended Washington State College at Pullman for two years and in 1922 returned to Leavenworth. He was employed by the Leavenworth Post Office as a clerk until his retirement in 1962. He married Vera Pershall on March 22, 1925, at Wenatchee. They lived at Leavenworth then moved to the Cascade Orchard area near Leavenworth in 1943. Mr. Kuch was a member of the Leavenworth Community United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Leavenworth Sportsman Club, a charter member of the Leavenworth Golf Club, a member of the Chelan County Pomona Grange, Chumstick Grange No. 819, Ramblin' Recs Grange Travel Club, Odd Fellows Temple, International Order of Odd Fellows, Rebekah Lodge, Knights of Pythias, Leavenworth Rifle Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 204 at Wenatchee. He served as secretary of the Cascade Orchard Irrigation Corp. for 24 years, was secretary//treasurer for Chelan County Fire District No. 3 for many years and was also a firearms safety instructor for many years. Survivors include his wife, Vera, at home; two sons, David B. Kuch of SeaTac and Ned H. Kuch of Leavenworth; a daughter, Dorothy Kuch Squier of Leavenworth, two sisters, Lydia Langdon and Marie Lake, both of Peshastin; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother. Arrangements are by Ward's Funeral Chapel at Leavenworth.
