Patterson, 71, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Victoria. He was born May 11, 1932, in Garden City to Ray and Helen (Urban) Patterson. He married Ilona Prinz on Dec. 14. 1968, in Los Angeles. He moved from California to Pfeifer in 1974 where he owned and operated Patterson's Groceries and Meats for nine years. He moved to Victoria in 1983 where he owned and operated The Library Bar and Grill. He was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, and a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Scott and his wife, Rose, Southerland, Ore., and Craig and his wife, Amber, Midland, Texas; two daughters, Tracy Dreiling and her husband, Mike, Victoria, and Marion Patterson, Roseburg, Ore.; three grandsons, Ryan Dreiling, Riley Patterson and Lance Patterson; his father and mother-in-law, Adolf and Anny Prinz, San Fernando, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Clarence Patterson. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer; burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pfeifer. Vigil service is at 7 p.m. Monday at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
