Cause of death was listed as a heart attack. He was born on May 25, 1914, in Newkirk, Okla, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Gilbert. Cause of death was listed as a heart attack. He was born on May 25, 1914, in Newkirk, Okla, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Gilbert. The family moved to Neal, Kan, in 1920 and he graduated from the Wichita Business College in 1933. He married Blanche Wakely on Jan. 31, 1941, in Okmulgee, Okla. His wife survives. He was sent to Venezuela, S.A. in 1938 by Standard Oil of N.J. and on his return to the United States he was employed by Carter Oil Co,. in Denver where he remained until 1950. The family moved to Billings in 1952. He was a member of the Billings Petroleum Club and the Yellowstone Country Club. Other survivors include two daughters, Merrily and Joy and a son, Teddy, all of the family home; his mother Mrs. Jessie Gilbert of Eureka, Kan; three brothers, Richard J. Gilbert of Neal, Kan, Leo Gilbert of Chicago and Eugene B. Gilbert of Dallas, Tex; three sisters, Mrs. R. M. Boone of Toronto, Kan, Mrs. John Lindamood of Quincy, Kan and Mrs. Howard Bolson of Belpre, Kan. The body is at the Michelotti Sawyers Mortuary.
