Description	:	Theodore "Ted" Schneider, 82, Java, SD, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at ManorCare Health Services, Aberdeen, SD. Theodore Schneider, son of Kathrine (Hauck) and Henry Schneider, was born June 29, 1926 at the family farm in Campbell County 8 miles NW of Java. Read More	Theodore "Ted" Schneider, 82, Java, SD, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at ManorCare Health Services, Aberdeen, SD. Theodore Schneider, son of Kathrine (Hauck) and Henry Schneider, was born June 29, 1926 at the family farm in Campbell County 8 miles NW of Java. This is where he was raised and attended the Kundert Rural School. Following his formal education, he started farming with his father and brothers. He married Dorothy Rissmann at the St. Paul Lutheran Church parsonage in Java on November 8, 1952. They continued living on the farm until 1990, when they retired and moved into Java. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church which he served as a board member and finance officer. Ted also served on the Java Equity Board, Java School Board, Java Improvement Corporation, Java Community Club, Fire District, Java Community Café Board, and the Java City Board. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, hunting, fishing, and going to the ball games of his grandchildren. He also was a Minnesota Twins fan. Ted is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 55 years; 4 sons—Terry (Joanie) Schneider of Sioux Falls, SD; Douglas (Darnell) Schneider of Soldotna, AK, Daniel Schneider of Java, and Scott (Julie) Schneider of Big Stone City, SD; 1 brother, Rinel Schneider of Mobridge, SD; 2 sisters-Edna Himrich of the Selby Good Samaritan Society and Irene Fiedler of Selby; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father on November 13, 1966, his mother on June 2, 1979, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. His Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 5, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Java with Pastor Jeffrey Wallace officiating. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Chaudhary and all the nurses at Avera St. Luke's Hospital's dialysis unit. Casketbearers will be Corey Sandmeier, Claude Olson, and Bob Seyer of Selby, Jeff Sandmeier of Java, Austin Schneider of Big Stone City, Craig Skillingstad of Aberdeen, John Schneider of Belton, Tx, and Neil Schneider of Chicago, IL.
