He was born Jan. 27, 1927 to Henry and Mary (Helmer) Weinmeister near Windsor. On June 9, 1955, he married Marjorie Sargent at Fort Collins. Read More	Theodore Weinmeister Services were Wednesday, May 28, for Dr. Theodore 'Swede' Weinmeister, 59, Gering, Neb., who died Sunday, May 25, at a hospital in Scottsbluff. Neb. He was born Jan. 27, 1927 to Henry and Mary (Helmer) Weinmeister near Windsor. On June 9, 1955, he married Marjorie Sargent at Fort Collins. As a young boy, Mr. Weinmeister attended school at Timnath. He later moved to Wheatland, Wyo., with his parents, where he graduated from high school in 1945. He served in Germany during World War II, receiving his discharge in 1977. He attended Colorado State University, Fort Collins, where he received a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1955. After his marriage, the couple lived at Aledo, Ill., where he practiced for five years. They moved to Gering in 1960 and established the Animal Clinic of Gering. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Nebraska Veterinary Association, Scottsbluff County Board of Health and the board of the Panhandle Humane Society, which selected him Humanitarian of the Year in 1985. Survivors are his wife, Marjorie of Gering; a daughter, Dr. Judy Benson of Spokane, Wash.; three sons, David of Wichita, Kan., Dean and Dan, both of Lincoln, Neb.; five sisters, Elizabeth Blehm and Agnes Kreiger, both of Greeley, Irene Short and Bertha Geringer, both of Wheatland, Wyo., and Lydia Brug of Windsor; five brothers, Harold Weinmeister of Windsor, Dave Weinmeister of Fort Collins, Henry Brunner of Mitchell, Neb., Paul Weinmeister of Aledo, and Rhinnie Brunner of Ault; and two grandchildren. Interment was in West Lawn Cemetery, Gering. The Dr. T. R. Weinmeister Scholarship Fund has been established.
