Burial will follow services at the Highland Cemetery of Eddyville. Theola was born January 16, 1924 in rural Monroe County, Iowa to Orville and Eva Pearl (Krizer) Maloy. Theola graduated early from high school, receiving her teaching certificate. She taught at a country school where she met her husband, Fred Lobberecht when bringing his younger siblings to school. She continued to teach and raise her family for a short time before she stopped teaching and stayed home with her children. Later she worked for Shahan's Veteran's Home, cleaning homes and caring for others for many years, until she retired at the age of 82. In 1979 she graduated from Indian Hills Community College receiving her practical nursing degree. Her nursing career spanned several years, caring for people in the Oskaloosa Nursing Facilities. Theola is survived by a sister, and a brother her children, 26 grand and step grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Lobberecht; brother Marvin Maloy; son-in-law, Henry Schaper; and three grandsons, Michael Lobberecht, Tim Lobberecht and Kyler Schaper. A memorial has been established to Theola's family. Condolences may be sent to www.eddyvillefuneralchapel.com. The Eddyville Funeral Chapel is assisting Theola's family with services.
