The Rev. A. Figlerski offered the requiem high mass assisted by the choir. Serving as pallbearers were Leonard Kalinowski, Ernest Bydalek, Donald Kaminski, Marion Krzycki, Roman Krzycki and Dallas Iwanski. Theophil Bydalek, a resident of Saint Paul, passed away at his home Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was 62 years of age. Born at Ashton, on April 17, 1898, to Frank and Magdalene Bydalek, he grew up in that community. On October 18, 1920 he and Miss Kate Iwanski were married at Saint Paul. They began housekeeping on a farm near Ashton where they lived for 27 years. In the spring of 1948, they moved to Saint Paul. He had been employed by the Soil Conservation Service Office in Saint Paul for several years. He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Fishing, bowling, and cabinet making were his favorite hobbies. His parents; two brothers, Edward and Raymond; five sisters, Helen Kaminski, Anna Kolb, Mary Shafer, Lottie Kaminski, and Tekla Kalinowski all preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Kate of Saint Paul; one brother, Sylvester of Ashton; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Agor of Taloga, Oklahoma, Mrs. Stella Smrdra of Ashton and Rose Bydalek of Saint Paul; several nieces and nephews. Out of town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Maciejewski, Viola and Larry Krzycki, Donald Kaminski, Mary Glass, Sophia Sack, Mrs. Joe Leahy and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Pecha all of Omaha; Mrs. Kate Agor of Talago, Oklahoma; Saul and Albert Shafer of Seiling, Oklahoma; Leonard Kalinowski of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd R. Leatherman of Rand, Colorado; and Mr. and Mrs. Ignac Goc, Mrs. Dominic Stobbe, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Borowski, Mrs. Maggie Griffith, Mrs. William Rupp, Stella Peters and Nick Maciejewski all of Grand Island. Other were present from Ashton, Farwell, Elba, Loup City and Rockville.
