Description	:	This note was from Ancestry noting Immigration May 11, 1877 from Switzerland to the U.S. Notes from the Wurenlingen Tree in my possession (written on paper scroll by unknown author) show that Anna Birchmier (born 2-2-1846), daughter of Clemens, came to the USA on May 11, 1877 with Uncle Phillip and 4 children. I don't know who Uncle Phillip would be, unless it is the middle name of one of her uncles. The other more likely possibility is that the writer was referring to her own Uncle Phillip (not Anna's), but she possibly meant Anna's husband Caspar. Maybe his... Maybe his name was Caspar Phillilp or Phillip Caspar. It is odd she didn't mention Caspar and it seems more likely that Anna would have been travelling with her husband and the 4 children would have been their children. Phillip also could have been Mary's cousin Theophilus (born 6-22-1854), in which case the 4 children would have been Mary's, since Theophilus did not marry until 1883 (the same year his wife Rosina Schneider emigrated). My belief is that it was just naturally assumed by the author that we would understand that Caspar was with the emigration group on 5/11/1877. I think "Phillip" was Theophilus, possibly uncle of the author. The scroll indicates that he married Rosina on 5-22-1883 and that Rosina emigrated on 3-12-1883. Therefore, it appears that Rosina emigrated to join Theophilus here in the USA...and then married him here a couple of months after she arrived. I will do more research on this and add the results by an addendum. Ten years later (Jan 5, 1887), Anna and Caspar Meier gave birth to son John who later became Father Thomas, OSB -- Abbot at Saint Angel Abbey. Anna would have been nearly 41 at that birth.
