Randy Harper, Rev. Dennis Hackler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Mr. LaCaze passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at his home in LaCamp at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 18 days. He was born to Joseph Harold and Sarah Deason LaCaze on Feb. 27, 1921, in Hicks, La. Their union produced seven children. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. LaCaze was preceded in death by his wife, and love of his life for 56 years, Exie Wellman LaCaze; his parents, Joseph H. and Sarah Deason LaCaze; one son, Joseph Martin LaCaze; one grandson, Joseph Harold "Joey" LaCaze; four brothers, Virgil LaCaze, G.L. LaCaze, Edmond LaCaze Sr. and Nathaniel LaCaze, and three sisters, Sarah "Addie" Hagan, Ester LaCaze and Ruth Swain. Remaining to cherish his memory are four sons and daughter-in-law, James Harold and Diane Marie LaCaze of Temple; Jean Roger and Berta Ann LaCaze of Hineston, Joe Lyn Sr. and Cindy LaCaze of Muskegon, Mich., and Jerry Louis and Doris Lynn LaCaze of Leesville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette Marie and Kenneth Alvin Farmer of Hineston, and Judy Carolyn and James Edward Manning Sr. of LaCamp; one brother, James A. "Jim" LaCaze of Hicks; one sister, Mary G. "Gertie" Haymon of Lake Charles; best friend and fishing buddy, Bill Hilton of LaCamp; 15 grandchildren, four step-children, five great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren.
