"Thula" (Bose) Kloke was born to her loving parents John Sr. and Katherine (Schmuecker) Bose on Tuesday July 12, 1904 at rural West Point, Cuming County Nebraska. Thula was raised and schooled in the West Point area. Thula was united in marriage to Henry W. Kloke on Wednesday September 30, 1931 at Saint Boniface Catholic Church at Monterey, Cuming County, over the years of their marriage they were blessed with two sons and five daughters. The couple first lived in South Dakota for three years then moved back to West Point where they farmed for eighteen years. They then moved to a farm south of Scribner, Dodge County with the GPS coordinates 41.534489, -96.672871 where they farmed until Henry passed in 1968. I believe their sons took over the farm operation in 1968 and this farm is still in the family to this day. I recall talking with Thula a few times at their farm house, I would talk with Henry and the boys at their north fence line which was my folk's south fence line. Thula moved to Fremont, Dodge County in 1974, then to Carter House Assisted Living at Blair, Washington County in January 2002. Thula was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and St. Joan of Arc Circle at Fremont. Thula sadly passed Saturday February 28, 2004 at the Carter House at the age of 99 years, 7 months, 16 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 36,390 days. Thula's visitation was Wednesday March 3, 2004 from noon to 9p with a Vigil Service and Rosary at 7p at the Moser Memorial Chapel at Fremont, then on Thursday March 4, 2004 at 9:30a at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church one hour prior to her funeral service at 10:30a. Thula was interned at 1:30p at the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery at West Point. Thula's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Thula by a past neighborhood youth Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
