Theresa, Buchholz was born in the northern part of Carroll county May 10, 1886. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Buchholz. The greater part of her life was spent on the farm, but for about five years she was employed at The Burke. There she met Knute Nelson to whom she was married at Carroll Sept. 10, 1928. They have one daughter, Norma Jean, two years old. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by a brother, John Buchholz of Carroll. A sister Mrs. Joe Rust, preceded her in death and a sister, Agnes, died in infancy. Mrs. Nelson had been ill for the last six months. She spent six weeks at Excelsior Springs, Mo., and two weeks ago returned home and then went to Rochester, where she submitted to an operation in the hope that she might regain her health. Her devoted husband was with her during her illness and accompanied the body to Carroll, arriving last evening. Mrs. Nelson was a devout member of Ss. Peter and Paul's church and died well fortified with the last sacraments.
