She was born on April 11, 1924, in Waterville, the youngest child of Alphonse and Eugenie Fortin. She was a wife and mother for 60 years as of Jan. 26, 2006. She was born on April 11, 1924, in Waterville, the youngest child of Alphonse and Eugenie Fortin. She was a wife and mother for 60 years as of Jan. 26, 2006. She was very active in St. Patrick's Parish until she and her husband retired to Florida to enjoy life in the sun and on the golf course. Summers were then spent in Maine at their camp on Highland Lake. Her recent illness moved them back to Maine permanently at Village Crossings in Cape Elizabeth, where she quickly involved herself in their activities and was ready to visit family and friends. In addition to her husband, Henry E. DeRoche; she is survived by her three sons, Edward DeRoche and his wife, Diana, and their three sons, Lindsay, Brian and David, Thomas DeRoche and his wife, Adonlie, and their son, Troy, and their daughter, Danyel Albert, and her husband, Denis, and their son Colin,and William DeRoche and his wife, Kathleen, and their two sons, Eric and Andrew. Her one great-grandchild, Colin, brought her the greatest joy during her move back to Maine.
