Description	:	Theresa Bickett, 80 of Oldham died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Lake Norden, SD. Theresa Leonard was born on September 21, 1931 to Vern and Hattie Leonard. She attended school in Oldham and on December 29, 1948, she married Lyle Bickett at Luverne, MN a marriage that would last for 62 years. Lyle passed away in June of 2011. Read More	Theresa Bickett, 80 of Oldham died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Lake Norden, SD. Theresa Leonard was born on September 21, 1931 to Vern and Hattie Leonard. She attended school in Oldham and on December 29, 1948, she married Lyle Bickett at Luverne, MN a marriage that would last for 62 years. Lyle passed away in June of 2011. Theresa and Lyle farmed southwest of Oldham where they raised their family, then in 1988 they moved into Oldham. She moved to the Golden Living Center in Lake Norden in July of 2011. Theresa worked at the Oldham Elevator, B & W Market and at Tri-County Coop. She was very active in the Oldham community. Theresa was a 4-H leader,Oldham American Legion Auxiliary, Oldham Cemetery Association, a member of the Oldham Methodist Church, superintendent of the sunday school and a member of the Ladies Aid. She loved to knit, sew, paint ceramics,do embroidery work, bowling and going to races, but loved even more to give items she had made away. She was always there for her friends when they had a need for anything. She made many cakes for weddings and birthdays. She is survived by her children; Phyllis Gustafson of Bryant, SD, Dan (Holly) Bickett of Oldham, SD, Audrey (Dwight) Jensen of Sioux Falls, SD, Don (Melba) Bickett of Ramona, SD, Lynn (Jim) Hodgson of Lemmon, SD and Jeff Bickett of Ramona, SD, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, sister, Ruth Ruen of Madison, SD, sister-in-law Lavone Hines of Wichita, Kansas and a very special friend, Eleanor Longville of Oldham, SD. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, her parents,a brother Bill Hines, a son-in-law, Alan Gustafson and a brother-in-law, Merlgene Ruen. Funeral services for Mrs. Bickett will be 10:30 am, Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Oldham Lutheran Church with Pastor Becky Senner officiating, burial will be in the Oldham City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, December 23, 2011 in the church and before services on Saturday. The Johnson-Henry Funeral Home of Arlington is in charge of arragements.
