Funeral services will be held today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Salem. Visitation at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem. Theresa Mary Lucy Quaglia was born to Anna (Bellonte) and Stephen M. Funeral services will be held today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Salem. Visitation at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem. Theresa Mary Lucy Quaglia was born to Anna (Bellonte) and Stephen M. Quaglia on Dec. 13, 1923 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. During her childhood, she was part of a loving family which encompassed her grandparents and aunts and uncles, as well as her parents and four brothers and her sister. Theresa met William Wegener in 1942, just before he shipped out to serve his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. Theresa and Bill were married on Nov. 15, 1945, two weeks after he returned from the War. They farmed near Salem. Theresa loved bowling, playing cards, and reading. She was a marvelous listener. Friends of all ages found their way to her kitchen table to share their joys and their worries, to laugh, and to have a cup of tea. She loved Bill, their children and grandchildren. Theresa's family was the center of her life. Bill and Theresa retired from farming after 40 years of marriage, in 1985, and moved to Salem. Bill died in 1990. Theresa moved to Aberdeen in 1995. For the past several years, as Alzheimer's disease stole her memory, she lived at Mother Joseph Manor and the wonderful staff cared for her lovingly. For as long as she could, she would greet everyone and ask them to come and sit and visit, and as often as they could they did. She always had a ready smile and a sparkle in her beautiful brown eyes. Theresa is survived by Stephen (Renee) of Pierre, Sandra (Mike) Levsen of Aberdeen, and John of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Carrie (Greg) Reitmeier and their children Jamie and Toni, Cris (Shane) Ortmeier and their children Alec and Grace, Chad Wegener, Teresa (Robb) Garofalo and their children Michael and Allie, and Rus Levsen; her sister, Anna Trane; and her brothers, Steve and Nick (Ursula) Quaglia.
