He married Theresia, born Kirschbauer (meaning someone who raises cherries), who was born on the 9th of April, 1812 and died on the 23rd of October, 1849. He took another wife, Theresia, born Haimerl (meaning small home), born in Nosswartling (Nößwartling), on the 23rd of February, 1819. Pauluis (Paul) born at Oberdorfe on the 27th of January, 1840 and died on the 22nd of October, 1854. 2. Theresia born at Strasshof (Straßhof) on the 28th of April, 1848. B. In the second marriage: 3. Georg Michael, born in Strasshof (Straßhof) the 27th February 1851 (thousand eight hundred and fifty one). Above family belonged to the Catholic Church. Officially signified at Furth County, Germany on February, 1852. (The following addition was made after the family came to America) 4. Joseph Sporrer born on the 29th of February, 1856 (Guttenberg, Iowa). 5. Wendelin Sporrer, born the 20th October 1857, deceased the 25th November 1858 (Guttenberg, Iowa). 6. Franz Haver (Frank) Sporrer, born on the 17th of February, 1860, (Guttenberg, Iowa). ~ I left this note on Theresa Sporrer Frommelt's memorial "Theresa's headstone has information that is incorrect. She was born Apr 28, 1848, according to the family bible page that is posted. Also, Tharasia Haimerl Sporrer is her step mother. Her mother was Theresia Kirschbauer Sporrer who died Oct 23, 1849. Her father, Joseph Sporrer remarried Tharasia Haimerl April 8, 1850 in Germany." ~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. and Mrs. Alex Frommelt: Alex Frommelt was born at Lichtenstein Jahn, near Switzerland, September 13, 1936. He came to America in 1854 and worked at Dubuque a while before coming to Dyersville. He was a mason and contractor by trade. On July 12, 1870, he married Theresa Sporen (error, should be Sporrer) at St. Francis Church. She was born in Bavaria, Germany, July 22, 1851 (error, should be April 28, 1848), and came to America with her family, settling at Guttenberg in 1853. Later they moved to a farm near Dyersville. Their children were Mathilda (Mrs. T. C. Schermer), Agatha (Mrs. Frank Dietrich), George, Frank, Elizabeth, and Leone (Mrs. J. B. Willmarth). Mr. Frommelt died December 1, 1909 and Mrs. Frommelt died October 28, 1901. Both are buried in St. Francis Cemetery.
