She was the daughter of the late Benjamin d’Eon and Isabelle d’Entremont. She was a graduate of Truro Normal School and taught for 31 years in the Pubnico area. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin d’Eon and Isabelle d’Entremont. She was a graduate of Truro Normal School and taught for 31 years in the Pubnico area. She was a member of the local Retired Teacher Association and the provincial association, former president of St. Pierre Parish Council and secretary and former president of Noveaux-Horizons of West Pubnico and of the Society of the Ladies of Saint Anne. She was honored as a volunteer by the Argyle Municipality. She leaves in mourning, besides her husband, Adolphe, a daughter, Louise (Mrs. Doug Murphy) of Central Argyle; three sons, Leo Paul of Yarmouth, Edouard of Lower West Pubnico and Normand of Dartmouth; also four brothers, Paul and Felix of Middle West Pubnico, Pierre of West Pubnico and Leo of Grand Bank, Newfoundland; two sisters, Imelda Currans of Middle West Pubnico and Marcella (Mrs. Norman d’Entremont) of Lower West Pubnico; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Felix, and an infant sister. Visitation was at West Pubnico Funeral Home. The funeral was held Thursday, August 7th in St. Pierre Church. Father Gaston Ouellette officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Obituary courtesy of Diane.
