Read More	Obituary for Thetis: MISS TURNER DIES SUDDENLY MT ULLA-- Miss Thetis Turner, 60, of Mt. Ulla died at 8:22 last night at Rowan Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health for several years. However, death resulted from an unexpected heart attack. She was born June 14, 1899, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late J. F. and Rebecca Parker Turner. She was educated in the Rowan County schools, Appalacian State Teachers College, and the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She had taugaht in both Rowan and Iredell County school systems for 39 years. At the time of her deth she was teaching in the Faith Elementary School at Faith. She belonged to Thyatira Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and had been active in all church work Miss Turner is survived by two brothers, J. P. Turner of Route 1, Mt. Ulla, and J. F. Turner of New London: two sisters, Mrs. Grady Hall of Mt. Ulla and Mrs. Spencer Browning of Winston-Salem; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Thyatira Presbyterian churc by the pastor, the Rev. Carl May. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be moved to her home at 9 a. m. tomorrow from Honeycutt Furneral Home in China Grove.
