Read More	Kingstree, SC Thomas Alexander "Tommy" Blakely Jr. of Pawleys Island, SC, 88, died October 24, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown, SC. Mr. Blakely was born March 6, 1925, in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late T.A. Blakely Sr. and Rheta Derrick Blakely, of Lane, SC. He served in the US Naval Amphibious Forces during WWII, stationed in the South Pacific. He was the owner of C. Tucker's Department Store in Kingstree, served on the Williamsburg Technical College Board of Directors and was Chairman of the Board of Kingstree Federal Saving and Loan, past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6500 and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church. Tommy was predeceased by his wife of almost 60 years, Sylvia Tucker Blakely, and was survived by two daughters, Myra Blakely and Charlesann Blakely Graham, both of Pawleys Island; a son, Thomas A. "Tab" Blakely III, of Pawleys Island; two grandchildren, Lee and Blakely Graham; a sister, Mary Florence "Floopie" Geddings, of Charleston; and a brother, Richard J. "Dickie" Blakely, of Kingstree. Graveside services were Saturday, October 26, 2013, in Williamsburg Cemetery. Williamsburg Funeral Home was in charge.
