Description	:	Thomas Allen Rankin, 82, of Bealeton, died peacefully, Saturday morning, March 31, 2012 at the Blue Ridge Christian Home in Bealeton. He was born September 23, 1929 in Fauquier Co., a son of Clayborn P. and Sally N. Rankin. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Greta Rankin, son, Donald A. Rankin, brothers, Preston L. and William A. Rankin, and his sister, Kathryn Meunier-Sharper. Read More	Thomas Allen Rankin, 82, of Bealeton, died peacefully, Saturday morning, March 31, 2012 at the Blue Ridge Christian Home in Bealeton. He was born September 23, 1929 in Fauquier Co., a son of Clayborn P. and Sally N. Rankin. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Greta Rankin, son, Donald A. Rankin, brothers, Preston L. and William A. Rankin, and his sister, Kathryn Meunier-Sharper. Tom was a member of the Midland Church of the Brethren and also the Oakton Church of the Brethren in Falls Church. He liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially going on long road trips. His is survived by three sons and their families, Ron and Sue Rankin of Falls Church, Kenneth and Linda Rankin of Bealeton, and Tommy and Joan Rankin of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, David A. and Rochelle Rankin of Manassas, Rhonda Conrad of Winchester, and Josh A. Rankin of Falls Church; great grandchildren, Lydia A., Nathan A. and Nicole E. Rankin all of Manassas; sister, Mattie R. Heddings of Catlett; brothers, James A. and Shirley Rankin of Warrenton, and Charles A. Rankin of Culpeper. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Midland Church of the Brethren, interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be offered to the church at 10434 Old Carolina Road, Midland, VA 22728.
