Description	:	Boone County Democrat October 11, 1917 Sunday forenoon, as Thomas, the ten year old son of Mr. and Mrs. David Flockhart of 1211 West Second street, was playing with another youngster near the corner of third and Marion streets, Thomas stepped off the street car track to avoid being hit by an oncoming car, and stepped directly in to the path of an approaching automobile, driven by Whit Williams. The boy was taken to the hospital and given every possible aid, but he passed away Monday noon without regaining consciousness. The funeral services were conducted from the home at 1:30... The funeral services were conducted from the home at 1:30 and from the Gospel Tabernacle church at 2 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon. Because of the absence of Rev. J. Chas Crawford, who was in Chicago, Rev. F.G. Wangelin had charge of the services. Interment was made in Linwood Park cemetery.
