McCann Dies Monday Thomas Andrew McCann, 65, died in Innisfail hospital, October 17, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Ontario, and came west with his parents in 1896, settling in the Balmoral district, where he farmed until 1942. He then moved to the Cottonwood district, where he farmed until forced to take lighter work in 1948. Since that time, Mr. McCann operated a general store west of Innisfail on the Medicine River. He was a member of the Kenilworth Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Red Deer, and the Canadian Legion. He served overseas during the First Great War. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Lois and Maxine, both at home; four sons, Grant, Red Deer; Lyle, Jack and Clifford, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. D. N. Gilbert and Mrs. J. Lampert, both of Delburne, and Mrs. A. J. Hewitt, Kelowna, B.C.; two brothers, Sam, at Fawcett, Alberta, and Robert in British Columbia.
