Description	:	from Jacksonville Florida Times Union obit: Archer, Jan. 3- Within four day of each other, the angel of death has entered the home of Mr and Mrs Thomas B Pearson and claimed, for his own, this aged couple, married, sweethearts for 63 years, beautiful, gentle, christian characters. Thomas B Pearson, 83, passed away at 5:45pm. Mrs Mary E Pearson, aged 85, when told of her husband's death, begged to be left alone so that she might cross over the river and be at her husband's side. Thomas B Pearson, 83, passed away at 5:45pm. Mrs Mary E Pearson, aged 85, when told of her husband's death, begged to be left alone so that she might cross over the river and be at her husband's side. Her prayer was answered, the end coming on Jan 1. The couple came to Florida 35 years ago: built and occupied the same house ever since. They were life long members of the Society of Friends, and during the younger years of life were active workers in church and Sunday school. Two of their children were at their bedside when the end came Mr CE Pearson of this place, and Mrs CE Coulson of Leesburg. Another daughter Mrs EB Huntly also of Leesburg, was in the house but too ill to be at their bedside. Another son Prof T Gilbert Pearson of New York City was unable to come. Husband and wie, calmly sleep, side by side, in the family burying ground here at the Laurel Hill cemetery.
