Description	:	Evening Times; Cumberland, Maryland, Thursday, July 28, 1910: “Thomas Brehany of Pekin dropped dead on East Main Street, Lonaconing about 3 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Brehany was employed laying new rails for the street railway company and yesterday was his second day on the job. Drs. Skilling and Bullock pronounced the cause of death as apoplexy. Thomas Brehany was born in Pekin 37 years ago and was the son of the late Michael Brehany. His mother is still living. Deceased leaves his wife and three small children, the oldest only 10; also two brothers, James and Michael both of Pekin... Mr. Brehany was a coal miner but had little work in the past year and his family are in very poor circumstances.” Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Monday, August 1, 1910: "Lonaconing—The funeral of Thomas Brehany who died suddenly in Lonaconing last Thursday, took place Saturday morning from his late home in Pekin. The funeral went to Barton by street cars, and in St. Gabriel's Church a requiem mass was sung by Father Joseph Nolan, of Lonaconing. Interment was made in St. Gabriel's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Kiddy, James Lee, Thomas Martin, Arthur Hamilton, Robert King and Patrick Green. The floral tributes were carried by William Beeman, William Patterson, Wm. Johnston and Lawrence Dunn."
