Description	:	Thomas immigrated to the U.S. when he was 17 years old, he came with sixteen year old cousin Wilhelm Molk. They were headed to Atlantic, Iowa to their uncle's, Mr. Ferdinand Peterson. They arrived in New York on April 1, 1904 coming from Hamburg aboard the ship "Deutschland". Thomas worked as a farmhand in Pottawattamie co, Iowa in 1910, next door to this farm lived the Henry Koll family which included daughter, Lena Koll.
