The deceased was born in Jackson township, Ashland county, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1828, and removed with his parents to Perry township when quite young, and lived in the immediate neighborhood during the whole of that time. DIED- As his residence in Perry township, Ashland county, Ohio, December 4, 1882, of cancer of the throat, Mr. Thomas Davault, aged 54 years, 11 months and 12 days. The deceased was born in Jackson township, Ashland county, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1828, and removed with his parents to Perry township when quite young, and lived in the immediate neighborhood during the whole of that time. He was married to Hettie Heffelfinger, May 4, 1854. To this union was given nine children, two of whom had preceded him. The deceased had been a respected member of the Evangelical church for about twelve years. He was a pious and consistent christian, a kind and loving husband, an affectionate and indulgent parent, a good neighbor and a true loyal citizen. He will be missed in his family among his many friends and by the church, of which he was safe counselor and worshipper. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Roseberry. Sermon preached from John 14th chapter, 2nd and 3rd verses. We laid him away in the quiet cemetery adjoining the M. E. church, in Jeromeville on the 6th of December, to await the morn of resurrection. May God comfort the sorrowing friends and bereaved family.
