He was born May 2, 1922 in Fairfax, son of John and Johanna Griffin henry. He married Donna Marie Leaman on June 2, 1946. Mr. Henry was in the 14th Armored Division of the U.S. Army in World War 2, and served in Germany and France. he was a member of the American Legion and was a machinist, gauge inspector, and gauge repairman at John Deere for 38 years, retiring in 1983. He was born May 2, 1922 in Fairfax, son of John and Johanna Griffin henry. He married Donna Marie Leaman on June 2, 1946. Survived by his wife; one son, John (Judy) of Mason City; one daughter-in-law, Barbara (Don) Brown of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Sarah, Jim, Elizabeth, and Clarissa; and one great-granddaughter, Heike. Preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; and one son, David. Services 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Flag presentation conducted by Waterloo American Legion Post 138, VFW Post 1623, and the Iowa Army National Guard. Public visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Locke Funeral Home.
