Description	:	Thomas Franklin Sapp, 68, of Pikeville, Tennessee, passed away July 29, 2001. Funeral services were conducted Aug. 1 at First Baptist Church of Pikeville, with burial in Brushy Cemetery. Mr. Sapp's sons-in-law, The Rev. David Culver, the Rev. Doyle M. Ashburn and Deacon Gary Burton, and his pastor, the Rev. Jimmy Williams, officiated. Mr. Sapp was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Pikeville, the son of Bill and Dixie Sapp. After graduating from Bledsoe County High School in 1952, he lived several years in Cleveland, OH, before returning to Pikeville. Survivors included his wife of 46 years, Irene Stewart Sapp; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and David Culver of Clarks Summit, PA, and Janet and Doyle M. Ashburn, and Ruth and Gary Burton, all of Pikeville; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Joy Sapp of Crossville; sisters, Betty Griffin of Ringgold, GA, Jeanelle Cunningham of Chattanooga and Joanne Turner of Pikeville; brother, James Sapp of Newport, TN; grandchildren, Jeanelle Culver, Jon Culver, Joanna Culver, Jaclyn Culver, Lindsay Blackstone, Matthew Ashburn, Morgan Ashburn, Billy Jack Sapp, Benjamin Sapp, Bob Sapp, Braiden Sapp, Bethany Burton and Jenna Burton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dixie Sapp; sister, Frances Walker; and brothers, Edward Sapp, Leftric "Billy" Sapp and Marshall Sapp.
